Privacy Policy

1. Overview

LMTV is built as a local-first media tagging and viewing application. The default product posture is to keep your media files and file paths on your device unless you explicitly choose optional cloud features.

2. Data processed locally

LMTV may process media files, hashes, thumbnails, ratings, tags, playlists, viewing metrics, and related library metadata on your device so the app can function.

By default, your raw media files are not uploaded to LMTV servers.

3. Optional account and sync features

Sign-in is optional. If you choose to enable cloud sync, LMTV may transmit selected app metadata such as tags, playlists, ratings, metrics, and library identity information in order to synchronize that metadata between your devices.

File paths and raw local media files are not intended to be synced by default.

4. Authentication providers

If you use sign-in, authentication may be provided through third parties such as Google or passwordless email. Those providers process your account data under their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Data retention

Local app data remains on your device until you remove it, uninstall the app, or use an in-app deletion/reset feature. If cloud sync is enabled, synced metadata may remain in your cloud account until you delete it through the app or service controls.

6. Security

LMTV aims to use reasonable security measures for account-backed services, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

LMTV is not directed to children under 13, and no intentional collection of children's personal information is intended.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated over time as the app moves toward release. Updated versions will be published at lmtv.app/privacy.
